freedom
Freedom is a 1960s-set short film centered on a war veteran who uses nightlife as a way to outrun what he carries. The music, the people, the energy—it all becomes a distraction from the reality he hasn’t fully faced.
After a fatal crash, that escape collapses. He enters a space where time slows and memory takes form, guided by a mysterious presence that forces him to confront moments from his life.
Blending performance, portraiture, and layered archival imagery, Freedom explores how trauma lives beneath the surface and what it means to truly see yourself. Inspired by The Egg, the film reflects on identity not as something fixed, but as something revealed through confrontation, memory, and reflection.
